It's a legit reason, though this is a two way street.
It would also mean she always knows the same things about me, if I go rogue or crazy.
But it's not like I'm about to disagree with you, Qrow.

This is me informing you, because you should know.
Because this isn't something I want just sprung on you after the fact.
I'm not going to be able to fix the things that I ever did to them.
But I can at least be up front.

Because I honestly don't trust her to tell you.
I sort of assume she wouldn't want to worry you, would say she would and then forget.
It's not like she'd intentionally conceal it, but if I tell you myself?
Then I know you were told.

[It was one of those moments where she treated him as the adult in the room, and the adult in the room probably needed to know about the colossally bad choice she and Ruby were considering. You know. In case something went awfully wrong.]

And now I'm doubly glad I called you.
So, there's an argument about someone who will remain nameless forcing a bond on someone.
Let's just leave that person out of this discussion.

I was reading, and it seemed like they were sure they'd find a way.
But it might be a good idea to be sure that it can be reversed if shit goes sideways.
You're absolutely not wrong about that.

Because if I went back to how I was?
Yeah, that'd be a serious problem.

We can take our time and do something like that, yeah.
And if we do it in another month, it probably won't be as strong, so that might be wise.
Might be easier as far as the reversing things.

Anna. Do you trust her?
She keeps an eye out for me from time to time.

In this town, sometimes that's all you can take.
So we can work with that, and I'll keep trying to stay out of your hair.
But since I'm here, is there anything I can do for you guys?

Other than the distance. That's easy to keep.

[Blink blink. Ok, she was surprised, legitimately surprised.]

You know, I was about to call you on bullshit there for a sec.

But you wouldn't bother, I don't think.
So, if you need someone to beat the crap out of and get beat in turn?
I can be your pint sized punching bag for this.

Bladed weapons, or blunted?

[She also thought about asking why, but opted not. It probably wasn't her business, and she could imagine about a thousand reasons to want to get it out of the system.]

Ok, I'm willing.
We don't talk with your niece about this, ok?
I'll meet you at the Gate in an hour or two.

Action

Deal. No killing blows, I'm in.

[She made her way over to the Gate. Not like it was even a surprise for her to be in this part of the time. If she wasn't at her home, she was training or on patrols, regularly. So she could make a time to be at the Gate. When he reached the arena grounds, he was directed to an open but enclosed place, where none of their friends and family would see them going at it.

She stood there, idly waiting in that sort of cheeky way that she always did. If he was going to fight her at her best, she'd have that awful, shit-eating grin on her face. It was the one she always showed in a fight, after all. At the first sight of him, she'd tip her hat once to acknowledge him.]

Sure!

[She nodded and shifted her stance, bringing the umbrella forward at a low angle. Her free hand reached up, crooking fingers to beckon him over. She hadn't admitted it, but part of her was screaming in pain too. She needed it as much as him, even if she didn't realize it.

Coin's flip who dropped first, but that didn't matter in the end.]

(OOC: A fade out on the fight's fine by me. It establishes it happened, and it works perfectly since we're into a new month.)
